If you haven't yet managed to join us at an event, then don't despair, there are still some
very interesting events planned and more in the pipeline - mainly for Scotland. Please try
and come, we’d love to see you.

EVENTS FROM THE MID JUNE TO MID JULY
Barakaldo Month of Commemoration
We have added links to the two events already completed on 3rd and 13th of this month.
The next event on 28th June features the documentary "Los niños del Habana" and a
colloquium "Niños de la guerra: futbolistas de élite".

Exhibition In Search of the Basque Children in Salford and Eccles - Ordsall Hall, 322 Ordsall Lane, Ordsall, Salford M5 3AN.

1st July - LONDON
IBMT's annual commemoration at the International Brigade memorial, Jubilee Gardens, on London’s Southbank, SE1.
Speakers and performers this year include Michael Rosen, Maddy Carty, Len McCluskey, Tosh McDonald,
Hermino Martínez and Na-mara. Starts at 1pm and runs for about an hour.

10th July - CAERLEON (Nr Newport), Gwent
Caerleon Arts Festival
More information now available about the one day event at Caerleon.
A really packed day featuring amongst others: Hywel Davis (Fleeing Franco), and Eddie
Butler - yes, the rugby commentator! ending with a concert by Na-mara. No need to book,
other than for the concert, just come along.

OTHER NEWS
Two new events are being planned for Scotland, more details nearer the time:
7th October: Montrose, concert with Na-mara, laying flowers at existing plaque, BCA'37
exhibition and stall.
9th October: Edinburgh, showing of "The Guernica Children", exhibition, talk, Q & A
session. (Still in planning stages)
BBC Radio Suffolk (on BBC iPlayer until July 15th)
"Thursday's Lesley Dolphin afternoon show"
Interviews with Paco Robles and Dr Ed Packard of University of Suffolk.
The show is 3 hours long and can be listened to through the internet. The
interviews with Paco and Ed are from 29.00 - 42 minutes into the programme.
The programmme is no longer available on the iPlayer.
