Queridos lectores

¡18 meses y seguimos luchando contra esta pandemia! Esperamos que esteis bien y esperamos que algo de normalidad regrese a nuestras vidas en poco tiempo.

Hemos iniciado una nueva serie ocasional llamada SPOTLIGHT ON / DESTACADOS EN … donde recopilaremos información sobre un solo tema de nuestro sitio web, junto con nuevos artículos que intentaremos presentar en ambos idiomas. Se accede a esta serie en el menú de la izquierda en la página de inicio. Hasta ahora tenemos dos: SPOTLIGHT ON … Eaton Hastings and SPOTLIGHT ON … SS Habana. Espero que os parezca interesante.

Podéis aprovechar la oportunidad para visitar dos excelentes exposiciones virtuales a las que ha contribuido BCA'37 UK: "Bombs…Away!" y "Havens East: The Lost History of Basque Child Refugees in 1930s East Anglia."

La Semana de los Refugiados 2021 vio a Ed contribuyendo con una charla para el grupo de Amnistía Internacional de Chelmsford, y el lanzamiento de un cortometraje sobre los niños vascos por The National Archives.

En la sección PRENSA verás que la prensa vasca ha dado una buena cobertura a nuestra asociación de Euskadi en varios artículos, que conmemoran la evacuación de los niños al Reino Unido, que incluyen entrevistas, con Vicente Cañada y Flori Díaz.

Simon Martinez nos ha puesto al corriente sobre el progreso de su iniciativa de financiación para traducir ¡Salvad a los Niños! de Gregorio Arrien.

A quienes deseen participar en los premios de ensayos de este año, les recordamos que la fecha límite es el 30 de septiembre.
