We are really delighted to announce that Natalia Benjamin is to be awarded a thoroughly well deserved Honorary Doctorate from Oxford Brookes University. Natalia co-founded our association in 2002 and is our Lifetime Honorary President. Read more …

We welcome followers of BCA'37UK-Euskadi to our newly updated Newsletter. As you may have noticed we have made some changes. We are now "Newsletter/Boletín". We now include news from both associations and will send it out to all those interested in either association. If you are not yet on our mailing list you can join here.

Although we are all still in lockdown, or near lockdown, things are looking brighter for all of us and certainly the combination of longer days, nature bursting into Spring and vaccines are helping to raise our spirits.

At the moment there are still no planned live activities because of restrictions due to the pandemic.

We now have stock in UK and Euskadi of both the new editions of Memorias, ed Natalia Benjamin and a Spanish edition of Solo serán Trés Meses, by Adrian Bell. They are both available to buy from our shop in UK, and in Euskadi from euskadi@basquechildren.org.

Simon Martinez is heading an initiative to fund a translation into English of Gregorio Arrien’s encyclopaedic book ¡Salvad a los Niños!. Simon has written on how you can show your support and get involved. More details here …

Prestigious Award for Natalia Benjamin

We are delighted that Natalia Benjamin, one of the founders of our association in the UK in 2002 and current Honorary President of our association, will receive a well deserved Honorary Doctorate from Oxford Brookes University. This is in recognition of her exemplary commitment to her important work on the testimony and historical memory of refugees, which is recognized as of international importance. We will give more details as they become available. The Trustees send their heartfelt congratulations to Natalia on this prestigious award.

Damos la bienvenida a los seguidores de BCA'37UK-Euskadi a nuestra Newsletter recién actualizada. Como habrás notado, hemos realizado algunos cambios. Ahora somos Newsletter / Boletín e incluiremos noticias de ambas asociaciones; las enviaremos a todos los interesados en ambas asociaciones. Si aún no estás en nuestra lista de correo, puedes unirte aquí ….

Aunque todavía estamos todos encerrados, o casi encerrados, las cosas se ven con más esperanza (para todos nosotros); (ciertamente) la combinación de días más largos, la naturaleza irrumpiendo en la primavera y las vacunas están ayudando a levantarnos el ánimo.

Por el momento todavía no hay actividades planificadas cara al público mientras sufrimos restricciones debido a la pandemia.

Ya tenemos stock en Reino Unido y Euskadi tanto de las nuevas ediciones de Memorias, de Natalia Benjamin, como de una edición española de Solo serán Trés Meses, de Adrian Bell. Ambos libros están disponibles en nuestra tienda en el Reino Unido, y en Euskadi en euskadi@basquechildren.org.
